Matt Phillips

Founder and CEO Matt Phillips began his professional career as an attorney at Bell, Boyd and Lloyd (now K&L Gates), Chicago, where he was a partner in the real estate group. Matt’s seniors housing career began in 1997 at Classic Residence by Hyatt (now Vi), where he was General Counsel and later SVP of Development. Matt and his team built world-class communities in premium markets such as Palo Alto and La Jolla, CA, Scottsdale, AZ, Naples and Aventura, FL, Glenview, IL and Highlands Ranch, CO. 

In 2006, Matt formed Integrated Development Group (IDG). IDG partnered with The National Electrical Benefit Fund to transform the historic Lake Shore Athletic Club, 850 Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL, into 198 luxury apartments with high-end services (sold to JP Morgan for $140M, a record price/unit). IDG also obtained the entitlements for The Club at Briarcliff Manor, NY, a 288-unit luxury seniors housing project. 

In 2013, IDG merged into Senior Lifestyle Corporation (SLC) where Matt formed and led the development team which consisted of numerous current ID2 members. The team oversaw design, construction management, sales & marketing and operations and developed and opened 20 communities from 2013-2019, many of which won industry awards including the legacy IDG project The Club at Briarcliff Manor. 

In 2020, Matt and team formed Integrated Development II (ID2).

Matt holds a JD with Highest Distinction from the John Marshall Law School and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg.
